About
About
George Moore Scholars is a programme of The Ireland Funds that supports talented students to pursue their higher education dream and undertake postgraduate study in the US, Canada, Europe and the UK. The scholarships are awarded to students who have an ambition to make a positive impact in their field of study, examine and tackle our great global challenges, and make a significant difference to wider society.
Applicants who are awarded a George Moore Scholarship may combine it with other sources of support or scholarships.
About The Ireland Funds
The Ireland Funds is a global philanthropic network established in 1976 to promote and support peace, culture, education and community development throughout the island of Ireland, and Irish-related causes around the world. It has benefited the work of thousands of different organisations, with both financial and non-financial support. Today, The Ireland Funds is one of the largest independent grant makers for the not-for-profit sector in Ireland.
Vital to The Ireland Funds' mission is investing in programmes that widen access to and participation in high-quality education for students of all ages. The George Moore Scholars programme is just one example of how The Ireland Funds empowers individuals through education, creating opportunities for students to learn, grow, and realise their full potential.
Conflict of Interest Policy
The George Moore Scholars programme is committed to ensuring that all students who are eligible for and interested in applying to the programme are in a position to do so. To ensure fairness of treatment, the programme team and academic reviewers must declare a conflict of interest if any applicant is known to them personally or professionally. If this is the case, the application can progress but the individual concerned will be replaced in the process by another individual who does not know the applicant.
US-based Scholars are kindly supported by Sprintax in the preparation of US tax returns.
